These are some frames I produced for a project that was never realised, well it was realised but as Visions Of America.

These images were meant as visualisations of Berlioz's coral symphony Romeo and Juliet, specifically the Scene d'Amour or balcony scene.
The challenge of this project was to create beautiful organic flowing animation which reflected the sensuousness of the music. The aim was to create a night time garden imbued was possibility, romance and magic.

It's much more challenging than the technological, 'polygon and particle' based approach that I've used for other music visualisations. Hopefully this is a project I can revisit in some form as I done quite a lot of animation based R&D which I'd love to use.
